Booking at the GWT

Our box office is now available on-line. To book, click here.

Members of the Geoffrey Whitworth Theatre may order tickets for any production as far in advance as they like. Members may book one members price ticket and two non-members tickets for each production. A season ticket application form is included in the July issue of ‘Whitwords’. From season 2018-19, this form will be available online. Every issue of ‘Whitwords’ carries.booking arrangements for the next show.

Booking for non-members opens two weeks before each production.

Students (with a valid student pass) £7
Block Bookings of over 10 (maximum of 20) £10

NB: Ticket prices for musical productions carry an additional surcharge of £2 for adult tickets and £1 for junior tickets.

There are special membership arrangements for teachers wishing to bring students to performances - please contact the Box Office for further details.

Senior productions run for eight consecutive evenings, Saturday to Saturday. The Youth Group production runs for three evenings, Thursday to Saturday.  All performances start at 7.45pm. 

The Box Office opens 45 minutes before the start of the performance.  The Bar and Coffee Bar open for business 30 minutes before each performance starts. The Bar has a good selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. The Coffee Bar sells Fairtrade coffee, tea, biscuits and locally produced organic ice cream. Interval orders are welcome.

Bookings will only be accepted when paid for in advance, in cash, by cheque or with a credit or debit card.

By telephone

The telephone booking service 01322 526390 will be available between 8.00pm and 9.00pm in the week preceding a production and at the same times during the week of a production. Telephone bookings must be paid at the time with a credit or debit card.

At the Box Office

Bookings in person can be made during the interval of every show.

Please do not consider any tickets booked until you have received confirmation from the box office. 

 

By purchasing a ticket by telephone, at the Box Office in person or online via the website, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions of sale:

Refunds, exchanges and cancellations

Tickets cannot be refunded, exchanged or cancelled unless the Box Office is given at least 48 hours notice.

Cancelled performances

In the unlikely event of a cancelled performance, a full refund will be given unless an alternative date is available.

Seating changes

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary to alter or amend seat allocation. We will inform you at the earliest opportunity.

Latecomers

Please be aware that latecomers may only be admitted at a suitable break in the performance. Latecomers may initially need to be seated in alternative seats, so as not to disturb other audience members.

Disabled Access

We have excellent access for the disabled, including seats for wheelchair users, a lift to the upper level and an induction loop. Parking spaces for patrons with mobility problems are permanently available and are clearly marked in the theatre car park.
